Well, the LPBT has been renamed the PWBA. Reason? Strike Ten has developed a new image for the women's professional tour.

I am not opposed to new images, new logos, or new names, when there is a need. I don't think the LPBT needed anything new, the LPBT was the most successful women's professional tour ever. The PWBA has a nice ring to it, but it is very similar to the WPBA, the Women's Professional Billiards Association. What the LPBT needed was new sponsors and new TV deals. I don't think a new name or logo will make much of a difference in these matters.

The new look can been seen at the old web address: http://www.lpbt.com. I am sure that will change to http://www.pwba.com very soon.
